On November 19, as the grande finale to Backpack to Briefcase week, the BVCAA hosted its first ever What Not to Wear to Work fashion show. Working TLC's What Not to Wear angle to the max, volunteers from BVC's Business and Industry department, Jean Hergert and Alan Frank, posed as show hosts "Casey" and "Trenton". Four additional friends and staff of BVC volunteered as what NOT to wear models by participating in a photoshoot which provided great images of inappropriate work attire that Casey and Trenton could critique before praising the chic student models.
Due to the generosity of the show's sponsors: Winners Canada, Changes Clothing and The Walk-in Closet the student models, who were business students who had been selected based on financial need, each got to keep the clothing that they modelled in the show - a great start to their professional wardrobes just in time for practicum! MC College also sent four student stylists to provide hair and make-up services for the models before the show.
